Photographs of the media centre

Here are images of the existing music centre. I have taken photographs showing the rooms sizes, what the building already contains to give us some indication of what we can include or take out to enhance the music centre.

The corridor leading to the fire exit on the ground floor, there is a vending machine as well. Before the fire exit there is a lift which is useful for disabled users to freely move from the ground floor to the first floor.

This is another walkway leading to other practice rooms, toilets and changing rooms.

Stairs leading to the first floor and looking down from the first floor.

Large practice room at the back of the ground floor. There is also a fire exit leading to the outside. This room is large enough for small bands to perform and record. The mirrored wall is useful when rehearsals take place.

The main entrance to the music centre, these are doubled doors but will need to have disabled automatic doors that open out.

The lift, this is useful to keep as it allows disabled users to freely move from upstairs and downstairs.

Here are the original stairs that were used when the Premier Inn and the old gym were connected. It was used as a connect  to allow people who stayed in the hotel to use the gym.

In the large performing room, there sell tea and coffee on this small table. It is served on wednesday where there are performances or rehearsals.

A view in the large performance room looking upwards to see the structural support of the roof and the beams that are attached to it. This is a steel framed structure with curved roof to ceiling windows, allowing the room to be filled with natural light throughout the day and there are large electrical lighting  to brighten the room at night.

Here is a view looking out of the window from the large performance room. It shows the walkway to the entrance of the music centre.
