Sound bounces of walls and so there needs to be a form of sound insulation to absorb the sound so that it does not transfer into the other rooms, outside or interfere with other music instruments in the music centre. There are already sound absorbers in the music centre on the ground floor in the small studio and upstairs in another music studio room. However, these are not particularly pleasing for the eye and look more like dull notice boards. There are other alternatives to sound proofing other than having sound absorbers dotted around the room. The other solution is to have timber, it is known to absorb sound better. Here is a link to show you what the timber looks like. http://www.blackcatacoustics.co.uk/clients-case-studies/case-studies/wall-absorbers1/claremont-high-school-harrow-middlesex.html
Here is a useful video that I found on You tube about how to diffuse sound and allow the sound the travel around rather than creating a flat sound, It also absorbs the sound to stop it transferring into the other rooms.
